ECOA Brand Design

East Coast Outdoor Adventures

In early 2026, a client approached me to develop a brand for their new business, East Coast Outdoor Adventures. They had recently purchased a boat and planned to launch guided tours in the Townsville region, however, most of their existing revenue came from diver training and university group excursions. So, brand needed to feel fresh and adventurous without alienating their current customer base. I presented several initial design directions based on their brief to help define the right balance.

After thorough consultation, we moved forward with the logo concept that borrowed from the visual language of classic surf apparel. This style is widely recognised and approachable within the local community, while offering a fun, novelty appeal for visiting tourists. One of the business partners was very insistent that a specific local fish be incorporated into the design. Through some back‑and‑forth, we landed on a solution that honoured this request without compromising the broader brand direction: the fish would appear prominently on merchandise which added some local flair, while only its silhouette would be included in the primary logo.

Beyond the core brand identity, I also created a suite of foundational social media templates to support the business as they established their presence online.
